Please review the two bills that are being discussed on the MD House and Senate floors. These bills will take away local control of board members to do what is right for their individual counties, parental rights to raise their children the way they see fit, and childhood innocence if these bills are passed. Thankfully, our Worcester County Commissioners voted UNANIMOUSLY to send a letter of opposition for HB 119 to the Board of Education Members, Local Legislators, State Legislators , and the Governor of Maryland.

The County Commissioners have also added SB 378 to their agenda on Tuesday, February 21st to discuss. I had asked President Todd Ferrante to add SB 378 to our Board of Education agenda for February 21st but it didn't make the cut. It really makes me wonder, why would our local Commissioners care more about parental rights in regards to minor consent of vaccines than our Board of Education members?

Please make your voices heard in opposition to our local legislators
